What do I need to know when buying a new handset?

The phone handset is the everyday interface for your telephone system so having a functional model that you are comfortable with is important. It is also critical to check handset compatibility with your system, as Aristel have many handsets unique to one particular system range and will not work on any others. To ensure a handset is compatible with your phone system, follow these procedures:

Match photos of handsets in the office to the handsets on our website: A very simple method, if the pictures match, then you have compatibility! You can see the full range of Aristel handsets with photos included below.
Match Model Numbers: All telephones have a model number on the back, which you can match to the model numbers that you will see on our list of handsets below.
Call our friendly staff: If you are still not sure, call Plexus on 1300 302 276 and one of our friendly staff will be able to advise you on which handsets are compatible with your current system.

DV Series
The Aristel DV digital handset series combines a robust feature list with simplicity of use to create a communications solution bound to increase your productivity and efficiency. Compatible with the Aristel DV 22, DV 38 and DV 96 telephone systems, the DV handset series includes products ranging from low feature, budget options for low telephone users, to high feature, high flexibility options for receptionists and managers, and everything in between! The handset range also offers a 60-button add on module for situations where the handset's default flexibility is not enough.

AV Series
Compatible with the AV 20, AV 38 and AV 256 telephone systems, the AV handset range is a popular choice for budget handsets that still offer a solid range of features. The Aristel AV handset series is a hybrid series offering both digital and analogue technology and compatibility. It provides a cost-effective option, with all important features included and an easy to navigate interface. Of the handsets, the 20 button Nova is a great solution for most business needs, offering a good degree of flexibility without breaking the bank. Alternatively, the 25 button SuperNova has slightly more flexibility through 5 more programmable keys and an illuminated display for better screen visibility.
